Yes. Although usually if a guy has to promise that he'll call, he thinks that the date didn't go so well for you. He thinks you're skeptical about a second date, so he reassures you by promising.

If I actually promise, I should. But I don't usually promise, because I forget to call pretty easily. I don't mean to, it just happens...

I know everyones saying yes but....I think all of us one or twice have promised to call and didnt....It happens to the best of us....I like to try my best to call if i promise...But I'm not perfect

yes, I always keep my promise, if I know that I might not be able to call I say: "don't promise anything but will try to call"

Ofcourse, because a promise is a promise...but i'm not good at promises so i hardly make them because it's hard for me...heh!

It depends...if you have some clingy...gotta get away from this weirdo person in front of you that needs constant confirmation and reassurance....I'd promise and not call.
