Can you believe that they still haven't taken the baby from her? I guess they're investigating because it was supposedely an accident but even if it was an accident (which I doubt, 3 oz of vodka, I doubt the baby willingly drank that down) wouldn't that still qualify as neglect?

As a mom I am so worked up about this... and the family has a history of living out of their car... this poor little girl who is two months old was actually returned to her parents. I just don't understand how this has happened. And CPS has even investigated them once before.

The baby did end up hospitalized with alcohol poisoning... she had three times the legal limit, she was released from the hospital to her parents. They used the vodka to mix the formula with. They claimed that they thought that it was water.

I had not heard that but now that I do it sickens me! I have a 10 week old. I think she was trying to kill her baby. no way would the baby drink that!!! It makes me want to cry out of anger and frustration. I hope they take the baby and the mom goes to jail!
Please pray for the well being of the baby so she doesnt kill it before they take her....
I just read it, she DOES NOT have custody, the state has her thank god!

I think it is just sad...it makes me angry that someone would do that...nothing like starting them [on alcohol] young. If she gave her baby 3 oz. of Vodka, wouldn't that harm the poor thing? They are so much smaller than us, I am surprised the baby didn't end up with alcohol poisoning. I totally agree that this mother should not be allowed to keep her child...even if it really was an accident, she doesn't sound like a very good mom.

Then CPS wonders why the public gets upset with them when a child is killed by their parents after they have already been investigated. CPS needs to hire more people. How could they not realize that it was not water when they opened the bottle? Geez. How many times do they need to be investigated before they take that poor baby away and give it to someone that would take proper care of her?

No child could actually stand the taste of Vodka enough to drink 3oz. It couldn't have been an accident. I hope the investigation leads to the arrest of the mother and placement of the child to a more safe home.
BTW, sounds like the parents might be alcoholics, no home, but a bottle of vodka? Seems like they don't have there priorities straight.

I seen them on tv the other day and well it made me sick, i dont think it was a mistake who knows they might of thought about killing the baby cause well didnt somene already say they have a history of living in a car, maybe they couldnt afford a child right now. Its many different ways to look at this... but the baby shouldnt be with them. And wouldnt the vodka burn the babys thoat?

Its a bunch of crap that they still have the baby. Hello Vodka has a smell to it, when she opened the botlle im sure she could have smelt the smell and realized that it wasnt water. And normal parents take extra bottles or water along for long trips away from home. With both my kids I always had a NEW bottle of water with me. Its crap that that girl gets to keep her baby when there are deserving people out here who cant have babies for whatever reason and want to adopt but yet stupid people get to keep their babies.

It sounds like she needs the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the loving hands of Christians to give her a place to live and food and clothing and teach her how to be a good mother. The rest is up to the law but that would be the best cure for the matter which the law can never change hearts.

I didn't know about this, but it's really upsetting.
There are so many people who are forced to be childless that really want to to have children, whilst those who are neglecting children and are harming them are allowed to just walk away with their children.
