I'm 21 weeks pregnant and haven't had sex since we conceived back in JULY! I was violently ill for the first 15 weeks so naturally I was in no state to be intimate with my husband, however, since then I've hit him up a few times and he makes excuses. He loves me dearly and love seeing me with "our" baby bump, but he seems to have an issue with having sex with me while I'm pregnant. I want to give it a go, but can't seem to persuade him. How long did you go without sex during pregnancy? Or guys how can I persuade him?

Yes, I've even offered him manual or oral stimulation to get things started. He doesn't have a cheating bone in his body, so I'm definitely NOT worried about that. I just wanna get me some!

Well, from my personal experience, he may be afraid of the baby knowing what is going on or just afraid of hurting the baby. What I did was told my husband that the baby was fine. That he was surrounded by lots of amniotic fluid and he wouldn't get hurt. It took a little while, but he eventually gave in and he couldn't get enough. Good luck with everything!

It can induce early labor, but so can alot of different things including stress. Talk to your doctor more to find out if you should or not.

All to familiar Scenario in my case also. The last time I had sex with my husband was in May of this year about 2 weeks after we found out I was pregnant Doc told him it was ok but He thinks he will hurt the baby or me. I wish I could say I have gotten some but no. And I am due Dec. 21st plus he tells me we are waiting until 6 weeks after the baby but I am scheduled to have a c-section on Dec. 15th but now who knows how long I will have to wait but apparently this is normal for some men. The only thing that consoles me is the fact that he loves me and can't get enough of my belly. Just let him have it his way because if it was the other way around and you didn't want it you would hate it if he pressured you with sex.

lol, to the idiots who said you shouldn't have sex during pregnancy, shut up when you don't know what you're talking about! Unless it's restricted for a reason or your water ruptures it's safe AND it's recommended by most doctors! Sorry, my husband was always ready, willing and able, even when I wasn't. Maybe a romantic night and no baby talk? Get a sexy nitey (lol that fits the bump how cute!) and go from there!

You cannot hurt the baby. It is protected by the amniotic bag. *rolls eyes* Danny person have you ever been pregnant before? obviously not because you don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about! Tell him that it will be one of the last times you can have sex before the baby gets here. Or men always like oral sex. *hides* works for me!

What no sex????? I think guys are a little afraid of hurting the baby but you should look up sex during pregnancy on the internet and show that it is safe and also show him sex positions you could try. Have fun.

Husbands of wives who do not put out while they are pregnant have been known to seek physical affection on the side- deal with the problem or it will deal without you!

it freaks some men out but when they realise that you will probably enjoy sex more during pregnancy it may help after the initial hurdle of actually getting him to do it! Try bribery.........!
