I think this is based on the assumpion that women are turned on in a physical sense in the same way that men are. Not True! Men can be aroused to the point of wanting to have sex merely by visual stimulus (ie, He doesn't necessarily have to know or even like the woman to want to have sex with her.) Women, (and I'm speaking very generally here, so forgive me) tend to be stimulated by the other person as a whole (no pun intended) and generally tend to need to at least enjoy the person's company before they feel sufficiently stimulated to embark on a sexual encounter. This is nature's way. A man, in order to fulfil his objective in perpetuating the human race, needs only to impegnate the woman and can therefore be stimulated by sight only. It is in a woman's interest to have a partner who will hang around for a while during the period when she is vulnerable after giving birth and whilst she is caring for an infant, so she makes an assessment based on how well she thinks she will get along with her partner in the longer term. In my opinion, this is why a woman is more stimulated by what a man says and does rather than what he looks like. She may go 'wow' when she ses a guy, but its not the same extreme physical response as a man has when he sees an attractive women who is dressed provocatively. If you want proof of this, think of the audiences at male and female strip shows. Very different reactions! So, to finally answer the question, if men dressed provocatively, womens' reaction would probably be (after the initial either 'wow' or laughter , depending on the man) either 'who the hell does he think he is.?' or 'He must be cold, someone get him a sweater!'

Do you mean provocatively in men or women clothes?

There are some men who always wear provocative clothing. Male models do it all of the time. It does not mean that they are gay, not at all.

Haven't you seen the excitement they cause as they strut down the runway?

But if a man wants to wear provocative women's clothing that's where the problem lies.

Many men do. Isn't a power suit dressing provocatively. Or a body builder going around without a shirt?

Then they would no longer be men, but would have become women. Do you really think that a million years of evolved sexual order can be overturned on a whim? Or is this just a thought experiment of yours?
