Oh Name of any Blessed God, I don't know. I, like you, think it's PC gone rampantly nuts. I love seeing Christmas (or any holiday lighting) in the deep darkness of Winter. I so enjoy people who put up outside lighted decorations for Valentine's Day, for Easter, for Fourth of July (I'm in Wisconsin, USA) any holiday. The \thoughts of brightly coloured lights in the darkness of Winter is so comforting. If I, as a confirmed Pagan, like them, I think we can all just get along and enjoy the show. It gives children joy and makes *most* adults smile. You're right. PC has gone too far. Blessings.

I remember reading the other week that Christian and Muslim leaders were getting together to combat political correctness of this type in regards to Christmas decorations. They both feared a backlash against Muslims, if decorations and celebrations were banned or stepped down, with the blame being placed wrongly at their feet. It now seems to be going that way regardless of their efforts. I bloody hate PC twats. I'm not religious, but as said above live and let live, tolerance is whats needed not national censorship of a long established tradition to benefit a few self righteous know it all's.

I suspect that a lot of those stories, true or not, are the result of some people deliberately trying to discredit Human Rights legislation and make things difficult for Moslems in this country (as though some Moslems don't already make things difficult for their co-religionists). I am sure the majority of non-Christians are perfectly happy to watch us celebrate shopping at Christmas, even if it entails us paying lip service to what the church goes on about. Live and let live is the majority view and it always will be, if enough of us think for ourselves.

ARRGHHH! Wish them a Merry Christmas and be done with it! Respect the feelings of those that celebrate Christmas. Let others get their way from time to time. Yes this is PC gone mad. I am an athiest and I say put up your decorations. Use public funds to decorate public facilities but please be reasonable in the expense and it might be nice if you refrained from the more religious symbols if we are doing this on the public coin and you are therefore asking me to chip in. Have a Merry Christmas, for whatever that is worth coming from an athiest.

No matter what you do or what you put up for decorations you will offend someone. Then again you have a right to hang any decorations you want but I do find lights bright enough to land an airplane on the street a bit much.

You got it right .........the apologist white middle class liberals have made a complte and utter c*ck up of our country! Everyone is equal in their eyes....except the ethnic minority are more equal than the white majority.
Equality means exactly that.....all people irrespective of their colour, race and religion should be able to celebrate their religious beliefs without judgement.
People should accept other peoples religion without complaint!

I would bet my last penny that these idiots are ALL from the white middle pc bleeding heart classes who think they know what's best for everyone. The birkenstock brigade following closely behind. I could happily slap them all. They remind me of the old style communists that even russia couldnt stand anymore.

The only people that get around to complaining about things are those people with nothing better to do withtheir time so they travel around wallowing in their own self loathing until they find something that might bring joy to another then they attempt to remove the offending item so that everyone can be as sad and lonely as them
Hooray to all you out their who complain! you are the sweat off a baboons balls

I'm not a christian but I don't mind anyone celebrating heir own festivals. What I do object to is being forced to take part. At my work place we HAVE to do a secret santa, and we HAVE to attend a christmas party.
