today i looked at NHL.com at their 3 stars ratings. Do you think they are stupid for not putting Bouchard on there(winning shootout goal for minnesota, one of the best shots in the world probably)and crosby (for his 50th goal as a player in the NHL) and the stars were dumb too, im not offending columbs... great win aganst colorado, but Briere??? whoo cares bout those sabers! and heatley????? i don't really care that much, what about other rookies on differnt teams????????

I have'nt visited NHL.com yet today, but I will since you just reminded me about it.
I would comment but I have'nt seen the stats lately.
But it's nice to know that there are women that love hockey.

Briere had a hat trick, they aren't that easy to come by. The rookies have to do something in order to be one of the 3 stars. They don't get nominated just because they are rookies. And as far as Crosby and his 50th goal, think about it. He's 18 years old, he's only played what 100 games in the NHL so far in his career? And he is at 50 goals already? That is impressive.

well briere had a hat trick and heatley had 2 key goals in ottawa's win so i agree with nhl.com

the three stars awarded on a nightly basis generally don't go to a guy who reaches a milestone like crosby. hitting 50 goals isn't a big deal unless it's all in the same season. he'll have many many more huge goals. and bouchard's spin-o-rama was sweet but how pretty a goal is shouldn't be a factor in determining the top three stars.

i understand where you're coming from but guys who rack up some goals/points and are key to a victory get consideration first.

one exception for milestones is a biggee like 500 or 600 goals since it is so rare. when modano hits 500 in a few games i wouldn't be surprised is he gets named one of that evening's three stars. go stars!!!!

Well, the fact that the Sabres are one of the best teams in the NHL right now is causing people to care. What do you mean with your comment about rookies? Are you insinuating that Dany Heatley is a rookie, or are you talking about some other rookie(s)?

That is three stars of the month. Unless per game. Either way, the media votes for it. Whoever did the best throughout the ENTIRE month deserves to be a star. Not one game winning goal for one day.
