The latest infidelity studies indicate that percentage-wise the gap is closing between cheating husbands in comparison to the percentage of cheating wives. However, even though more men are now becoming victims of infidelity, the fact still remains that 70% of infidelity victims are women. What’s interesting though, is that men and women who are cheating on their spouses give different reasons to justify their extramarital affairs

Unless men are cheating with other men, I'd say the numbers are pretty even.
Maybe the women that men cheat with or the men that women cheat with are not married. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that BOTH parties involved in an affair are cheaters.
So I say that men and women cheat in essentially even numbers.

It's hard to say.
More men admit it, and more men get caught, but does that really mean more men do it? I heard one study where they started requiring blood type tests on all new born babies, and about 33% of all babies born had a blood type they could not have gotten from their supposed father. The percentage of women who admitted to cheating was substantially lower than that. When my son was born, his blood type being O+ sent me sprawling, because both my wife and I are A, she's - and I'm +. Her mother was O, so she was a carrier, but everyone in my family is A, so I didn't think I could be a carrier. Our son was born small, so I didn't have him genetically tested because he needed all his blood right where it was at, but I was checked out and it turns out I am a carrier for O, from my paternal grandmother who was O. (That's not a bad thing, nothing wrong with being O, it's just I didn't think I could have children with that blood type until then.)
So really, no one is ever going to know who actually cheats more. Well, God knows, but other than Him.
I've known a lot more wives who played with fire than husbands, both in terms of doing things that looked suspicious when they weren't cheating and flirting when they weren't intending to do anything. Also, I know more women who stay at home, and if they had their boyfriend visit on his lunch break, no one would ever know.
BUT, there's less social stigma on a man when he cheats, and guys are more likely to defend each other if one is. Also, guys respond more to a visually exciting woman, and a "man eater" has been known to make short work of marriage vows. Most men don't put the time and energy into making themselves cheat proof, and so if they're caught in an uncomfortable setting with a girl... bad things can happen... and oops... and "I never meant to do it..."

To be honest, I think more women cheat then men.....Men don't find out so most men are being being considered the biggest cheater because they tend to tell on themselves, whereas, a woman can cheat and he will never know because we can keep our same patterns and he will stay clueless and have no idea...

I believe men are still cheating more. Polls show that women are still lagging behind, but not my much. Of course, there's also the question of what percentage of those being polled are being honest. Are men more likely to brag about something like this, making their stats too high? Are women more likely to conceal their infidelity, making their stats too low?

National surveys indicate more men than women. In watching my relationship and those around me I would say it is closer to 50/50.

I think that men just get caught more often, therefore seeming like they are more of the cheaters. Woman seem to be more discreet. Alot of the times its happening between couples that are friends and everyone should be on their toes.
