I live in Oregon and I can honestly tell you that everyone here was holding their breath. The mountains in southern oregon are completely unpredictable in the winter. I myself have been stranded on a mountain pass in southern oregon. Even though I had a cellphone with full signal, I was scared.

This could've happened to anybody. I think it was unbelievibly brave and selfless to Mr. Kim to try to get help for his family. If only every man was as brave as he was.

I was hoping that he would be found alive. I think this tragedy is one of the saddest I've seen in many years.

That story really hit a chord with me. I am so sad of the outcome. I think of how many times my friends and family take trips to the mountains and never think twice about preparing any kind of survival kit for the car ride home.

My heart goes out to the Kim family.

What a tragic end. I did not know the Kim family, but I pass by one of the their stores twice each day. What a sad, sad loss. I wish that the outcome had been different. The City mourns.

Hey, it's not a waste of 5 points. The man was a friend, and you wanted everyone to know that. Nothing wrong with that.

It is very sad for his wife and especially for his two little girls. May he rest in peace. I'd never heard about him until he made the national news, but he was very brave to go look for help for his family when the days kept passing and no one was finding them. So sad. My condolences to everyone who personally knew him and loves him.
