It is understandable and appropriate for you to feel frightened. We are all born with a lifetime guarantee but none of us knows just how long that will be. The most common cause of death in your age group is the failure to wear seat belts, followed by other accidents, alcohol, and drug use. Indeed 'natural' disease (specifically leukemia which is a form of cancer) is a distant 7th. The best way to ease your concerns is to be born and to live healthy but there are in essence only two ways that adults exit this world - about 1/2 die of cancer and about 1/2 die of heart disease. I would prefer heart disease although we are better able to influence and delay this by good habits and physicians are able to treat this more effectively. Treatment options for cancer are dependent upon the type and stage and at best they are limited. It is normal for a teenager to give some thought to life and death but do not be overly concerned about cancer. I also strongly feel that it is a great help if you believe in God. As always I wish you the very best of health.

Just remember one point.. when you think in this direction you are sending orders to the subconscious mind. The chemistry in the brain will undergo some changes. Restricting some of the hormonal substances it emits. This change can have a dramatic effect on your health, in various parts of the body.. You don't need that. Get on with your life and think more pleasant thoughts.. maybe like "boys."
