I've been feeling really sick lately, and I'd like to get it up and over with. Is water with 2 teaspoons of salt water going to do the trick? And is it suitable for consumption?

I don't think some saltwater is going to do much for you unless you're gargling it for a sore throat. Drinking saltwater won't do anything but dehydrate you and possibly worsen your symptoms. You may have a bacterial infection and need antibiotics if it's lingering and not getting better.
