Throw a dead animal up stream from them wait for them to catch the scent then cross quickly and quietly in the shallowest part you can find. Cross right upstream from a rapid or small water fall if possible.

Why do you need to cross a river? you could climb if theres a branch, or jump on their backs and hop over!

very slowly, I would look for a narrower spot to cross. hopeful with a stong tree to tie a rope and swing to the other side.

Just don't make to much noise or splashing and mind you don't tread on one and you have a fifty per cent chance of making the other side

how big is the river how many alligators how deeps is the river can you walk across or do you have to swim.use a boat a bridge but if you mean you have to be in the water using a big stick
