I was wondering if there was any known history about this ship as I mentioned its from way back in 1946 and was made as a present for an older friend of mine who passed it on to me at his death.

H.M.S. Wellington. A sloop of 990tons, 250 x 36ft, mounted 2-4.7in and 1-3in. guns. She was launched at Devonport on 29th May, 1934 and eventually sold on 6th Feb., 1947 as HQ ship for The Hon. Co. of Master Mariners. This is the only RN vessel from that period so I hope it is the right one. Of course, if it was a merchant ship, it's back to square one
