A rapist being convicted and sent to prison and being raped would be ironic. I don't think you could legislate that type of thing though.

Ironic punishment is lame like religious punishment, which is a type of ironic punishment. Religion is suppose to be kind and forgiving but if you punish in the name of God this is sadly ironic. It is effective for the individual, because it is usually life ending, but it is far from good and it only adds to future problems.

I think a child molester being anally raped in prison is a good example, or maybe that's just poetic justice. Another would be a thief having all his possessions confiscated, and given away to strangers.

Someone who sprays being grafitti being made to clean it off, vandals being made to repair the damage, that sort of thing.
Does it do any good? I doubt it.
