my best friend and i have a band together i play guitar and he sing withour other friends but he got an AMAZING offer from a record company and we come from a small town so this is a once in a lifetime chance but they only want solo artists so the rest of us arent included in the deal his family needs the money but him and i have been friends for 9 years and hes only 18 and he says he doesnt want to leave me behind while he becomes famous i have tried everything and he still wont go i even got the rest of the band to try and help me but he keeps saying he wont leave me behind im only 15 so i cant go what should i do???

Man that's simple. Let him go, then IF he becomes famous he can give you a job in his band, rename the band, whatever,,, Otherwise it is not going to happen. When opportunity knocks.....

Let him stay with you, it is the best solution, understand it's not easy for him to leave you, and it's the right thing to do, I don't think money and fame will bring much, it will only complicate things.

well that's his fault for not letting go. It's not like you guys can't be friends if he makes a big break and becomes famous or whatev

tell him that you will see him as much as you can and that its the best for his career and that you will make it on yourself.. and when he does become famous you guys can join him with a different contract for a band.

Well tell him he can't hold off on his dreams because of you guys. He has to start his life sometime and you guys can't be included in everything that he does with his life.
