The Nintendo Wii features a white console that's small and can be displayed either vertically or horizontally depending on your preferences. Backwards compatibility means that you can play your old Game Cube games on the Wii in addition to the new Wii games. You can play with an amazing wireless controller, as well as play online with lots of other gamers thanks to the Wii Channel. Even when the unit is turned off, it is connected to your high speed Internet.

Then there's the Play Station 3. This incredible system can do basically everything the Wii can. It also features backwards compatibility, a sleek size, wireless capabilities and an online presence so that gamers can interact, chat and play. Not only that, but there are lots of great upcoming game titles created for use on the Play Station 3. This unit can also play audio CDs and DVD movies.

Because both the Nintendo Wii and the Sony Play Station 3 are so advanced, they are very eagerly anticipated. People are placing expensive pre-orders for these models, and it's guaranteed that there will be lines of consumers on the release dates clamoring for their chance at one of these systems. Which one you should choose will probably depend on which system you're already used to playing. If you've been playing a Nintendo for years, then you'll probably want to get the Wii so you can enjoy favorite games like Legend of Zelda and Super Mario. For Play Station gamers, the Ps3 will be well-liked and play all your old games as well as hot new ones. If you're choosing one of these systems as a gift, either one of them is sure to be gratefully received this holiday season!

Playstation will be the better, and best gaming system out there, just not at the time. Give it a year and it will get all the bugs and kinks worked out. As a Holiday present though, a Wii definetly is better. Due to its motion sensitive controlers, variety of games and advertisments, WAY BETTER THAN THE PS3 ADS, the Wii is better. Plus, the price is about $300 cheaper, and you don't need an HDTV for the graphics to look good.

Wii !!!!!
Sure, the graphics aren't as good, but do you play games for the graphics? No! You play for long, thrilling games that suck you into the gameplay, which the Wii dominates with its titles. Also, the simple control you can pick up in a minute, whereas with other platforms, you have to remember which button does which.
Also, PS3 is more expensive, harder to come by, no games that come in high definition, shaky graphics, weird controller issues, and a lack of a gaming line-up that the Wii does.
Wii FTW!!!

WII

Although there may not be SUPERB graphics and audio quality, games like LOZTP or SSBB are still managable. The Wii is the only consle to actually be able to surf the Internet, yes you heard me, Yahoo, Ebay, Amazon, you got it. You can also download pictures via SD card from Cellphones, PDA's, Labtops, and Digital Camera's. Also, its wireless, and $350 cheaper than PS3. It is more plentiful than PS3 and also has a record 63 games released by X'Mas. and also like the DS, you can "Mingle" which is when people come to your town....and Mingle!

The PS3 has a lot of games in stores, ready for people to take them home. But to get the consle itself, Wal-Mart is your new home for a couple nights in order to grab it. The Ps3 also can't play 200+ PS2 and PS1 games.

Well, I really like mine and hope that you get one.

I have a Wii because of supply. Good luck finding a PS3 before March of 2007.

I'll have some fun with my Wii until the PS3 is easier to find.

The Wii. You can only play so many WWII and sports games before you start looking for a change. And the Wii brings that change.

nintendo wii because of the price, controller, zelda, and eventually a few more other great games. However, ps3 is better excluding the price.
