If so you can go back and talk to the HR department and see how they can help you. Otherwise you did resigned, so sorry to say you should start looking for another job.

Sorry to hear that, if it was an offer in writing then you can sue his *** or make them pay you whatever it says in the offer. Otherwise I would not even bother working for them since they lied to you. Why work for a company that lies about your salary offer? If they treated you bad before you even start working for them, imagine how they are gonna treat you when you're on the job?!! In fact if you decide to still to work for them ask for more money than the original offer since you now have the upper hand in the negotiations.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. Do you have an offer letter in writing? If not, try calling your old job back. They may not have replaced you yet. Happens all the time.
