I mean, its ONLY a game! You cant get anything w/ the points. The games are supposed to be for FUN. It doesnt say anything about skill or anything like that. So why do people do that? Anyone got a good answer for me? I think that there shouldnt be rated games because they really make people more weird than they already are.

This has absolutely nothing to do w/ whether or not they know how to play a game. For example, I play Cribbage and Literati a lot. I have good days and I have bad days. Does that mean I dont know how to play? No. It just means that I may be getting a run of bad cards or letters. Ive been playing those 2 games most of my life offline.
And even if they are new players, wasnt everyone new at one point? Didnt you want someone to be nice to you when you first started learning a new game?
This is about character really. Its about treating a game as a game and having good sportsmanship. It really has nothing to do w/ skill. Most people just see that you are a grey or blue and automatically assume that you are a bad player. They dont even look at how many online games you have played. Get where I am coming from here?

Depending on the system it could be multipul resons
1. they want to be chalenged and a lower ranked might not give them that.
2. If points recived is based on rank, thatn beating lowleves don't help them and can be considered a waist of tome.
3. It could be based on how the person acts, and people don't want to hang out wih a spammer.

lol.....they feel if your rating is lower, you dont really know how to play the game....are you talking about spades? some people just dont want to loose so they pick the ones with a higher rating.

some people are very sad and want to get more and more points, if you loose against a lower ranked opponent you loose lots of points, if you loose to a higher ranked one you only loose a few and can gain a lot more.
so it's gamesmanship...sad
