Dependent means theres no unique solution. Independent means there is a unique solution.
I already showed you there was a unique solution in your other question, so they're independent.

You have two independent equations and two independent variables. Generally speaking, in order for a system to be independent and solveable, the number of indepent equations must equal the number of independent variables. Thus, this system is solveable. Be careful in solving systems such as this: (2x=y+5), (4x=2y+10) this system is not solveable because equation 2 is a equation 1 times a constant=2.
