I experienced sharp pains in my right lower arm, between my wrist and elbow. It hurt so bad that I became worried. It has never happened before. I became anxious, dizzy, felt as though I was going to pass out, and my blood pressure was severely elevated. I went to the Dr. and everything seemed normal, but they had some concern about an EKG that was done. They say it may just be a pinched nerve, but also referred me to a specialist to have a stress test done. I have lived a very sedentary lifestyle for the past 8 years or so, haven't had the best eating habits, smoke socially and dring alcohol regularly...beer, wine. Thanks.

Go to a massage therapist that specializes in trigger point therapy. I am being quite specific here. This type of massage deals with and locates that pressure on nerves that are causing pain. The rest of your symptoms can also be a class anxiety or panic attack. We often have these attacks when we have symptoms of what we think is a heart attack or life threatening disease. You have done the correct thing in consulting an MD. Pain in the left arm is symptomatic of heart trouble but in your follow up info you state that it is the right arm that was the problem. This is better than the left.

It could be a heart attack. Go to the doctor. Right away. It could be very serious.
