I am attending a christmas party this Saturday, and the invitation said to "please bring a gift to exchange related to this year's party theme: Gingerbread People".
I dont want to bring the obvoious gingerbread cookies or food item, I would like to bring something fun and unique. Also, I am assuming it has to be a unisex gift as both men and women will be doing the gift exchange.

Hobby lobby's or Michaels (craft stores in general) usually have a pretty big selection of gingerbread items, like snowglobes, platters, ornaments etc. Or what about gingerbread scented candles. Or what about the DVD Shrek since there's a gingerbread man as a character. ;)

1. Gingerbread-themed Christmas apron or chef's hat.
2. Gingerbread-themed cutlery or utensils.
3. Ginger. Actual ginger, whole and/or powdered.
4. Ginger ale or ginger beer. See if you can find grape-flavored or cranberry-flavored ginger ale.
5. A Gilligan's Island episode which features the character Ginger Grant (Tina Louise).
6. A ginger-colored stuffed dog or cat or toy horse.
7. Gingerbread-themed Christmas ornament.
8. A compilation tape or CD with songs that mention ginger or gingerbread.
9. Gingerbread-scented lotion (yes, it's more feminine, but men may like it too).
10. A movie starring Ginger Rogers. (Or is it Rodgers?)

Its going to be a little tough to come up with a gingerbread themed idea for a MAN, but I have seen gingerbread kitchen towels, dishes, salt and pepper shakers, and other home decor type gifts. Try crackerbarrel.com or gooseberrypatch.com

Maybe you could get something Americana from the Pottery barn or Cracker Barrel. Those are always fun!
