Well, from observing the Korean women who live in my community, I've noticed that several of them are constantly carrying a parasol with them to block the sun. So I think that whiter skin might currently be considered "in" among Korean women. Even though I'm kind of confident in my answer, I can't be sure because I'm not Korean myself; I happen to be japanese ^^ Well, I hope that helps you.
