why do american woman always follow european fashion styles and trends, such as : london , milan , paris , minsk , prague etc.

They have an amazing and effortless sense of style in Europe (or at least it seams that way).
Also Europe is about a year ahead of whats in-trend. I know because as a designer I go there twice a year for "inspiration". Basically we take the cool & new stuff we see over there and make it here. So it's getting into the stores about 6months to a year later. That's just the way it is... god forbid my boss let's me think up anything original! lol

I disagree that American women *always* follow European fashion styles and trends; however, fashion (as most art forms) is influenced by cultures and worldly events. Fashion is at the mercy of whatever designer is popular by the masses at the time. Fashion trends, if you research them, follow the globe throughout the centuries.

There is an American style as well. Honestly, most American women are overweight and they know nothing about the high fashion trends from Europe. This is only a small minority of American women.

Most of the high end fashion houses are in Europe. From living in Europe for 8 years I also noticed that women over there dress much better for the most part than their north american counterparts. I think it's a simple as that.

The fashion in those countries are amazing. In Italy there are fashion power houses like Armani and Valintino. Tjere are popular fashion designers but generaly we follow major fahion of the world. The countries follow us as well.

Because those are the fashions that are pushed by designers and fashion magazines.
Also, even the poor are wearing "European" fashions, as now, Walmart carries George...the UK brand.

it's not necessarily women following other women , they can only buy what is in stores and if the fashion industries are selling what is trendy in europe then americans have no choice but to buy it
