The maintenence people have dug a whole in the parking lot, not sure why, but my water is not working. Any suggestions on what it is and when I will have water? The complex did not notify me about this and it is very annoying.

Usually you can call your local water district and ask them what work is being done in your area and when they expect to have the water back on.
PS Dont be rude or they'll put you on hold for a very long time, and then give you a generic answer.

I don't have a clue even what state you're in, so no clue as to your complex management but the first place to start is to call your complex office and find out what's the deal lucille!! Then call mainentance if they blow you off, and you actually might have to call the town\city where you live if the parking lot's dug up since it sounds like it could be a water main break. But get on your phone girl and start calling!!!!

Contact the complex's office and let them know what has happened. They should have previously notified all of the tennets about any scheduled work being done in a common area . . . unless there was a water main break.

Call the apt manager ASK them, Call the CITY ask them.. But for crying outloud, do you really think you will get an answer on Yahoo Answers for a utility problem..
You probably don't have water YET because they are STILL WORKING ON IT!!! I am sure they didn't tell YOU just to piss you off.
What is annoying is self center little brats that think people need to bow to their every whim. grow up.
