I'm looking for a listing of New Year's Eve events in and Around Houston, TX. Could someone please help me out? I've tried CitySearch and Houston.com.

I have 4 ideas for you. 3 are good. 1 is bad.

1. The Houston Press. Many upcoming events will be advertised there. It's a newspaper that might provide you with a good idea of events scaled towards younger people. (Plus it's free.)

2. The Houston Chronicle. They have an entertainment section. You might find something there. (costs money)

3. Local news. Often they will mention some city sponsored event, especially for New Year's Eve.

4. 1st, get dressed up all nice. Drive around the finer parts of Houston (River Oaks, Memorial, etc...). Look for really nice houses with valet parking attendants. The key is to act like you are supposed to be there. Enjoy the evening. I did this 2 years ago with a buddy of mine. We went in and were handed door prize tickets. He won a 13 inch TV/VCR combo and I won a 12 pound turkey. Everybody was so nice. If anybody asks you what you do, tell them you are in I.T.. Nobody knows their I.T. guys....
