He got nominated for the academy awards best actor for "Howard Hughs". dealing with mental illness. He turned out to be a wonderful actor. It was for best picture of the year. He didn't win, but what a honor just to be nominated. He was nominated in Gilbert Grape, what a wonderful performance. He gave on that one. You can tell I think he is very talented.

I loved Gilbert Grape. He did good in the Titanic. And pretty good in The Man in the Iron Mask. He played the part in the Aviator great. He played the obsessive part very well. I haven't seen too many others of his recent ones cause I don't usually watch R-rated movies much.

i love his earlier movies. They were much lower budget movies with no where near as much appeal but the acting was phenomenal! I love What's eating Gilbert Grape (Unbelievably fantastic here) and The Basketball Diaries. I love most of his films tbh cos i think he's a fantastic actor, but ode to performance, I think he, like many other actors, was a lot more powerfull when they had something to prove, he's too famous now

Well Monster J thats probablly why shes asking, Christ!
I really loved Di Caprio's older roles because he was more willing to experiment with riskier roles ex. basketball diaries, this boys life, whats eating gilbert grape, total eclipse, whereas now he still manages to pick decent roles they're a little more hollywood crowd pleasing. He still manages to do a good job it just seems as though he picks scripts that are less controversial.

I think that Titanic was probably the best movie he ever did. Well maybe thats just because it was such a good movie period. He probably wont ever be able to top it.

Now - I am glad the baby face is gone! He has aged well and to me - only gets better looking with manliness and age! I bet he will be GORGEOUS at George Clooney's age!
