you know the "just fill out this survey for a new xbox 360" or whatever. i've read some people say they actually got a check or prize.
with my luck it would just be an email spam-fest or phishing scam if i filled one out.

The Better Business Bureau report on companys of this type:

(We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.)

Additional Information: These are my personal views and in no way reflect the views of Yahoo or any of their Advertisers.

Some will provide you with a gift card, however 99% will conviently never send the gift card. As for how to get the gift card, you have to sign up for credit cards, online rental stores, and other trial stuff that will cause you to possibly drop more than the end prize is worth. So your short answer is no, there is no get a free Xbox 360 for filling a survey.

Most are not. They are designed so that the average person fills out the forms, and then are ineligible for the prize. However, they have already harvested your e-mail address, and more. Don't sign up for any of them. If you don't trust me, sign up for a fake yahoo or such email address, then go to a site like winhundred.com, and enter the email only, and nothing else. Close out your browser without completing the form. Then check the new inbox. Though you didn't complete the registration, your email was already stolen. Also, check out siteadvisor.com for more information on Internet scams. Hope this helps!

It probably is a scam, because if you didn't do anything, why would you get that? Ask your friends if they know about this. The best way to get rid of those things is to get a pop-up blocker(it comes with toolbars like Yahoo and Google) and if you have IE, it has a built in pop-up blocker. If that doesn't stop that, there may be adware/spyware on your computer. Get a adware/spyware remover to get rid of it.

The trick to earn a lot of money with paid surveys is simple, you need to join as many survey companies as you can. Check out this site for a list of legit survey sites based on payout: http://www.clicksurveys.net

I am earning from $2500 to $3500 each month by completing surveys online. Good money for 1-2 hours of work each day.

you can actually get the gift but you have to sign up for things like netflix or clubs of some sort which costs you money on your credit card. Then after you complete all of the offers it takes a few months to get the gift.

most of them aren't real. actually, almost all of them aren't. it's a trick, don't do it, unless u really want to sign up for their offers, and maybe u will receive the gift, but it's a risk. do it only if u were planning to get those offers in the future, because if u didnt want them u just might turn out to be the loser in the end. just don't do it. sweepstakes are better than this.

For the most part they are not real. Some are real, but only if you register with your credit card and buy this, or get that for free... just pay shipping and handling. I wouldn't trust any of them. Nothing is free.
