Of course there are drugs that can be used to stimulate a menstrual cycle....
But I would NEVER prescribe a medication simply for the convenience of being able to relax over Christmas. There are risks as with any mediation and it's not worth the risk simply so you won't have to worry about your period....

if you've taken a test, you're probably not pregnant. Sometimes your body does strange things if you're under stress - like ttc...
If you take birth control pills, that will get your period started again, but if you're worried about christmas and drinking, it won't help you in that amount of time. If I were you, I would call the Dr. and tell him you missed your period and think you're pregnant. The worst that could happen is that he makes you come in for a blood test and says you're not pregnant! At least you'll know for sure.

First, you need to go to the doctor and make SURE you're not pregnant; if they induce your period and you are pregnant, then that's an abortion. So first have them do a blood test and make sure you're not. Then, talk to the doctor about your options. If you end up not being pregnant, then more than likely, he or she will just let you go for the month...sometimes women skip periods for no reason. Stress can play a huge factor.
Also, if you're not pregnant and it doesn't sound as if you want to be, then you should discuss birth control options. Do the responsible thing!

i dont think that they can give you anything to bring on your period. i think that if you pregnant your pregnant.I wouldnt stress your self about it if its still negative at 10 days late, i would try another one in a couple of days make sure you do in the morning first pee. theyre are options if you didnt want it and if you do then great. So just try another in a couple of days. If your stressing out about it then that could make your period late as we;ll try to relax. you will know soon eough. goodluck

People shouldnt answer if they dont know.
Yes he can give you something called Provera. It takes anywhere from 7-14 days to bring on your period. They can also give you an injection instead of pills, but the pills are most common.
They will give you a preg test before they give you the pills just to be sure.
Go ahead and call your doc.
Good luck.

If you are trying to get pregnant and there is a possibility that you are I would go into the doc before doing any holiday celebrating. Just to be safe and that way you will know for sure. Thats what doctors are there for right ? Good Luck!

Don't know if that's possible, but I was on Ortho-Evra birth control patch for two weeks and had my period THE DAY I took it off, so maybe that would help?
