Your indoor humidity should be 30 - 50 %. This is what I was told by a Respitory Technician. My son is a severe asthmatic and we keep a watch on the humidity in the home. Hope this helps.

I've heard the Weather Channel and somewhere else that heatlhwise, humidity should be less than 50% to inhibit mold and dust mites, and greater than 30% to maximize comfort and reduce respiratory problems from dryness. The home improvement types recommend keeping the humidity low enough in winter to prevent condensation from forming on the windows - which might be less than 30%.
