(read my last entry you'll know where i'm coming from)

My little girl has the hiccups and she crys at night from them.

So I sleep on the couch as she sleeps on my chest so I make sure she's breathing...

Is this neurodic?

Taking her into your bed with you would be safer than sleeping on the couch.

I understand where you're coming from, I slept with my daughter on my chest for the first month of her life because I needed to constantly make sure that she was breathing.

You should call your pediatrician and see if there's anything that you can do about her hiccups though, if they're waking her up at night and bothering her, maybe they have some suggestions that'll help her so she doesn't get them so much.

Good Luck. I hope your little girl feels better.

You can buy these new things that monitor your baby's respiratory. If your daughter should stop breathing, the alarm will go off and you can make sure she is alright. It is a mat, and You can buy them these days, but I'm not sure where. Sorry, but ask your pediatrician about it. They should be able to help you. Oh, and by the way, you're not neurotic. You're a mother and you care about your baby. It usually happens to the best of us.

It sounds like she has acid reflux. The reason why she sleeps better on your chest is because it's more of an upright position, which helps to reduce acid in the chest. You need to take her to the Dr.

Just bring her to your bed! I used to wake up and check if my daughter was breathing. It just means that she's the most important thing to you!

GET HER CHECKED FOR ACID REFLUX. IT A DIFFERENT NAME FOR BABIES THOUGH. SHE MAY BE PRODUCING TOO MUCH ACID FOR HER LITTLE TUMMY TO HANDLE. AND IT MAY CAUSE DISCOMFORT. SEE IF SHE ALSO SPITS UP HER FORMULA A LOT ITS ANOTHER SIGN OF THE ACID PUSHING UP. GOOD LUCK.

she may just be colic-y, or have gas. you can sleep by her crib, but if it persists, go to a doctor.
