I have a friend who is trying to complete an obituary but my friend is having hard time trying to find a template. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you :)

I really don't like to comment on this type of questions but just to make a suggestion, the funeral home is the one who prepare the obituary and send it to newspapers and alike, they have the information of the deceased and they have all kind of templates..☺

I used to be an Obituary Writer. Hope this helps.. Of course the information to be used is optional.
Paragraph 1:
Name of Deceased, Age, Date of Death, Place of Death
Paragraph 2:
Date, Time and Place of Funeral, Officiating Clergy, Place of Interment
Paragraph 3: Background information, i.e. Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Where they grew up, went to school, career, hobbies, where they attended church, just things about the person in general
Paragraph 4: List relatives they were preceded in death by
Paragraph 5: List survivors
Paragraph 6: List information for any type of visitation..(date time place)
Paragraph 7: Addresses to send memorials or contributions
Paragraph 8 Name of the funeral home/crematory that is serving the family.

You can look at past obtuaries in the newpaper. I don't know if there is a "template" or not but people put the date of birth, death, familyand friends who they have left behind and family who has gone before them in a relitivly short space.

1st paragraph: List decedent's name, age, place of birth, date of death and how she died.
2nd List all the people who will miss this person starting with close family and ending with friends
3rd List where the funeral service is and when. Also you may want to ask people to donate to a certain charity in leu of flowers.

use something that describes your friend. My grandfather passed ,we put a American flag on the tombstone and his service for our country. He was a 30 yr. Air Force man . I
pray your Friend finds peace with GOD , Jesus Christ, before they pass on.
