I'm 37 weeks and she is in the head down position and the dr can feel her head but....I think she is hiccupping and sometime they feel really high other times its like in the middle of my stomach. Now it's like right by my ribs and I don't think she is kicking me cause they are steady. These aren't contractions are they? LOL. This is my first and I have no idea what is going on with my body.

My daughter hiccuped constantly! I asked my doctor why my whole belly would kinda "shake" sometimes and she said because the baby is floating basically. The fluid exaggerates the movements and can make them be felt in odd places or all over. It was always like a steady twitch almost and weird to me, but now I hope this one does the same lol! Good Luck!

My daughter had the hiccups very often. It was weird to me because I though it was kicking, but it was steady, like perfectly timed. I told my doctor, and she said it was the hiccups. Contractions should feel like a tightening around your abdomen.

Babies get hiccups all the time. I like to watch when my baby has hiccups. I'm 34 weeks, and it's hilarious. Hiccups shake the whole body. Mention it to your doctor at your next visit.

Congratulations, Mommy!!

They most likely are hiccups. The baby practices breathing by swallowing amniotic fluid and it gives them the hiccups.

My son had hiccups all the time while I used to be pregnant with him. It appears like a rhythmic kicking within the identical spot. I used to consider it used to be very lovable and could rub his head (he used to be breach).

the baby does hiccup while in you. you are not contracting. if you were, it would feel like cramps or like you have to go to the bathroom (#2)...
