why is canada post so expensive to send packages????? is ups in canada cheeper or about the same???

canada post is not bad up to a certain weight and size, after that, there are many many other options. UPS seems to be one of the more expensive ones, but is certainly not the only option.
Check out the various courier websites and compare what each offers and charges for one and the same type of package.
But my experience has been that if you fall within the sizes and weight that Canada post operates, thay are your best package, (pardon the pun)

No you can't send parcels COD. You have to pay shipping when you mail it. Send her the postage after you get the parcel or mail her a check before she sends it. You can get the postage cost from Canada post if you know the dimensions of the parcel and it's weight.

Canada post is cheaper if you send "Parcel post", and you can also send by bus, which is also very cheap. I find UPS expensive.
