I think the US has enough problems by it self and should stay out of other countries' problems.
But, of course, the US Gov't wants money, and since war is money... hey... kill em all.... right?
... I'm being facetious by the way.

In the game of chess i would say Iran can easily put our country USA in Checkmate in 1 to 2 moves! Their not the ball to keep your eye on anyway Saudi Arabia is!

Finish what we started in Iraq. When the Iranian leadership sees our resolve in this, they will think before acting in aggression against a neighbor. We have to continue attempts to deal with them diplomatically in regard to their nuclear enrichment programs and failing that, urge economic sanctions if the majority of member nations agree.
Once our presence in Iraq is stable and the government is self reliant, we keep a standard force in residence as a strong signal to Iran that we will follow through even if it means sacrifice.
