what about equal opportunity for the unappealing

Allowed? It depends.

Some companies look at HR as the paper pushers who run the ad and then hand the new hire his paperwork.

Other companies look to HR to actually find and screen the person before presenting only the best matches to management for their final decision.

And there are no laws protecting the "unappealing". Maybe you should petition congress or sue a potential company to change that.

But since I hire the staff that works for my husband, the "unappealing" actually have a better chance.

See, it all works out.

Not sure what your question is and what you need addressed?

HR departments should be allowed to meet perspective candidates.

But if you are speaking about equal opportunity I am not sure how to relate this with the unappealing.

If employers consider themselves Equal Opportunity organizations than the unappealing still have the same chance to apply and be deemed qualified for open positions as well.

Hope this helps.

God Bless......
