I don't believe so, however, as a paralegal, I was fired 4 months ago for the same thing.

It depends on the employment policies of the school. To be fired for risque pictures, the school would have to be able to produce some sort of documentation showing that such behavior is against the policy, and that the teacher was informed of that policy. Of course, employers don't always follow the rules, and they sometimes fire people for illegitimate reasons.

Sadly - yes - kind of. You see every school board has a type of "morals" clause in every teacher contract that says something like "won't do anything to corrupt children" or right -out "immoral conduct." Whearas you would think - who cares about some pics - well if you are a teacher you know your school board and you tell me whether one or all of them wouldn't sacrifice you to the fire to appear to be "sincere people protecting children." Emailing a private photo of yourself to another private consenting adult would likely be ok. As controlling that may seem like an invasion of privacy. But posting for the world to see they would likely have cause to fire you. (hey just send it to me (j.k);-)

I've heard about that teacher in Austin, TX who posted nude pictures of herself online some time ago (a year?).
The Austin school district did suspend her, but I haven't heard if they made the decision to fire her or give her the option to resign.

Yes you could. Were you watching Dr. Phil? But you can for the simple fact that if their posted on the internet maybe some curious child or their "curious" parent, or a "curious" teacher might find them on the internet.

It would depend on the school's policies and whether there were any affiliations to the school shown with the pictures.

In my opinion, no. That is, of course, unless this teacher is pointing these out to certain students.
What you do on your free time should not affect your job, unless what you are doing directly affects your job or someone in your job.
