I was informed that it's a no can do unless you are on her account as power of attorney.
You can take the bills to the lawyer that's handling her will and estate and let him take care of it. You can also inform the companies that your mom has died and her estate is in probate and go from there.

First and foremost, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.
You can contact her bank and inform them that you need access to her account so you can pay some outstanding bills.
Also inform them you are waiting on the death certificate in case they need this document.
They may ask for her birth date, SSN or any other info that will identify her in their system.
I hope this info helps you.
I also pray that God will give you and your family comfort and peace during this time.
God Bless...

I am still a teenager and I doubt that I have excellent knowledge on this, but when my Mum asked if she could withdraw money from my bank account, lest, God forbid, something happened to me, the assistant replied that it is not possible for this to happen.
I do have a young persons' account though - so I am not sure that if this applies to your Mother's account. I have heard of my Mum's friend withdrawing money from her sister's account when her sister was ill.
I think that it is best that you go to your Mother's bank and ask one of the assistants.
