I think so. Everyone says that people should chooose what they eat, but the fact of the matter, sadly is that most people don''t know what has TF and what doesn't. Most people still don't know what it does! Though people should choose what they eat, if they choose that, the obviously need some guidance. If people should be able to eat trans fat, then people should beable to smoke pooka/mara-G-uana and sniff coke, right?? }:-(

People should be able to bang prostitutes(legally) all day if they wanted, right???(double }:-( ) If you ban those things, trans fat definatly needs to go.

Absolutely. The substitute for Trans Fat is healthier and the same price, it is ridiculous that many restaurants and fast-food chains insist on using the partially-hydrogenated oil, whic contains Trans fat. The replacement is the same price, and virtually the same taste.

yes ban it it is really super bad for you, i think its great that they are starting to ban it, it is about freaking time they did this, way over due

although it is too bad that ppl are so careless that they knowingly eat foods cooked with trans fat greases and such, you would think ppl would do everything possible ot avoid such a health damaging ingredient

its pretty sad really..

trans fat causes health problems

the health industry is already overwhelmed by unhealthy ppl, many from eating in a non healthy manner

and health care is expensive as heck, most ppl cnnot afford it, at least here in the US where the government does not help cover any of it at all, and where you hav eot hope that your employer carries some medical insurance, if not then you are SOL

in which most ppl are, such as myself

i avoid crappy fods like this, but still would evne if health care was free or reduced cost

ppl jut dont use their brains/are ignorant or think about the future or care about their health very much, they even feed what kids they may have this garbage food,

banning trans fats will be a great thing, i hope it is completely incorporated across the country and SOON

good luck

I kind of like the New Hampshire motto Live Free or Die
Dont we have enough regulations? Maybe everyone will be happy when we are all rats in a maze with all our everyday activities monitored and chosen for us. People can go to doctors, find out if they have problems and then people can choose if they want to listen to the doctor or get sicker. I could use with lots of laws going away and feeling like I still have the right to choose my own destiny.

I think it's all hype so the food mfgs have something to compare with the fat people have been eating for centuries. I'm sure in the early 1900's they weren't concerned or even heard of trans fat.

we choose a skill to comprehend that what we consume could be risky. eating places and agencies won't voluntarily show this counsel. to save money firms WILL USE risky supplies. So specific we choose legislations to the two ban it, or to tension eating places to submit super indications that they use trans fatty acids or different risky products. Tobacco and alcohol has it. So could people who sell risky foodstuff.

Nobody necessarily thinks the govenment is always right. Try thinking for yourself, educate yourself, and take back your responsibility to pick and choose. We are rapidly heading for a society of idiots who don't have a clue about good and bad, since government has taken away are ability to decide for ourselves. Shape up people or do you want what Germany had 6 decades ago!

I don't think so for the simple fact that if people are stupid enough to eat so much that they get fat and unhappy than it is their fault and should suffer the consequences of their actions and the same goes for drugs too. Just my opinion though.

I think it's really funny how people are making a big deal about trans fat, when cigarettes are still perfectly legal.

NO! NO MORE TAKING AWAY FROM MY FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT I WANT AND WHEN I WANT IT! I AM AN AMERICAN....... I SHOULD BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO MAKE MY OWN CHOICES ABOUT EVERY DAMN THING.
Too many banns, too many laws, too much meddling in my private life.... leave it alone. I can make my own decisons. If that decison leads me into something that is undesirable... well I decided it. It is my fault. The thing they should ban is frivoulous law suits.
