I'd first look at the "door/flap" that diverts air either through the heater core or around it. Follow the linkage to the hot/cold slider on your controls -- by the way, does that feel looser than it did before?

Some cars also have a valve which turns off coolant flow to your heater core. Look for linkage to that.

As other posters said, i'd also check out vacuum lines under your dash and under your hood, and your coolant level. I'm pretty sure it's not the thermostat, but changing coolant and replacing thermostat is periodic maintenance - if you haven't done it, now's as good a time as any. Consider using non-toxic antifreeze... $2 more a gallon, but it won't kill pets, and you can dump it down the drain no problem.

It's your thermostat bud. It sits on the top of the motor. There is a large hose approx 2" in diameter. If you take that piece off and inspect the thermostat you will probably find that it's stuck in the open position.

Vacuum lines sound suspect. Older Jeeps had cables that would open and close valves on heater core lines, but I believe that the later models are vacuum controlled.
