GE sent us an extra refrigerator door because ours was broken. When I called them to take it back, they said to throw it out. Seems like such a waste- door is still in its packing. Anyone know who might accept this as a donation? It is for a 2 year old stainless side by side model with the ice and water dispensers built in.

I have three suggestions: a thrift shop that accepts large items, an appliance repair shop, or a SwapShop (found at some landfills and refuse transfer stations). You might also post the refrigerator brand and make online to see if you have any takers or sell it on E-bay. Good Luck!

We have a store locally called "ReStore" which is run by Habitat For Humanity. They collect surplus building materials/appliances/etc. and sell them to raise money. You may want to check with your local chapter to see if there are any in your area.
