Probably not in your room, but if you steped outside they can. You can download Google Earth at Google.com and it's a satalite image of the earth and you can move around the globe and zoom in and out and you can even see people and cars and other things. Some cities are more clear then others. The bigger the city, the better the details are.

The orbiter around Mars can see a wallet placed on the surface of Mars, but the spy satellites around earth can read newspaper text!
By the way, they can't see in your living room if it has a roof!!!!!

I doubt you could really confirm it, but I've heard that they have the technology to read the headlines on a newspaper from orbit. So, yes, they could peer into your living room from outer space, so don't be up to anything too heinous in there which might land you in dutch with the government or your local authorities.
