My best friend is getting married in less than two weeks. The last time I saw her was in late August to meet her fiance. I was invited to the wedding and so I'm planning on going. The thing is I have called her at least five times in the past couple of months and she has not answered. I left messages and have received nothing in return. I even called on her birthday and got no answer. I didn't think anything of it the first few times I called, "maybe I caught her at a bad time." But as the wedding inches closer she still has not returned any of the calls and I'm extremely worried. I don't know where the wedding is being held, I know the city, just not the church.
I'm planning on calling her mother when I get home from work today to verify everything.
My question is: I know that weddings can be a stressful, but is normal to just completely ignore one of your oldest friends?

I'm 100% positive that I didn't do anything to piss her off. So that can't be the reason she isn't answering.

***UPDATE***
I found out, from her brother, that the wedding has been called off. She is probably still dealing with it and just hasn't called me yet. Thanks for your input, although some of it sucked! I was invited to the wedding, it was small so there were not invites. It was all word of mouth. She kinda just got behind on the cancellation part.

Sometimes when a person gets really busy or is depressed it seems overwhelming and it is possible that she is not answering her phone. I would call her again and leave a message with her and her mother that if she wants you to come to the wedding to let you know. Ask if you did something that might have upset her or if her soon to be husband doesn't like you. It could be a case of control on his part. She might need you more than you know. Talk to her mother openly and ask questions about your friend and how her mother feels about this wedding and the relationship with you and the groom.

She might just be really stressed and busy with the planning. Doesn't it tell you on the inventation where the wedding is being held? You say she's your best friend, but you haven't talked to her since August? That seems weird. I talk to my best friend who lives 4 hours away multiple times a week. Send her an email and see if she responds. Where you invited to the shower? Maybeher number wqas changed or she lost her cell phone.
