All of them are equally stupid as all of them are untrue and based on a kernel of truth only. Every single one is ridiculous. I can't narrow one single one down. They all stink....big time.

Many stereotypes were, at some point, based on a certain degree of truth. Often that truth is exaggerated into what we know today – STUPID STEREOTYPES.
Example: Most Jews are lawyers, doctors, accountants, or businessmen and have tons of money, power, and influence…
This stereotype stemmed from the time of the industrial revolution at the turn of the last century. Prior to that time, one’s wealth was determined by how much land they possessed. The majority of European countries did not allow Jewish people to own land, hence acquire wealth. Many Jewish people, in order to provide for themselves and their families, were forced to take office jobs in accounting firms, law firms, and in the business and medical fields. They were forced to open and run businesses having nothing to do with property possession. When the industrial revolution hit, it wasn’t the landowners who possessed the power. There was a power shift towards those very Jewish people who had been persecuted. This doesn’t apply to all Jews of course. This is just one of many examples.
You asked for the stupidest stereotypes…I’ll go with Jews have big noses. If a Jewish man walks into a wall with an erection, he doesn’t break is nose. Like any other man, he breaks his will to live. Fun question.

You can't classify anything that lumps an entire group together as an intelligent thought, so all stereotypes are pretty much all stupid. And some are very hurtful as well.

These tend to be made from substandard parts and as a result do not last very long.

Macintosh
But haven't we moved past stereos and into surround sound?

The most ignorant ones that come to mind are: all black people are criminals, all Mexicans in the U.S. are illegals, all Americans are "fat," and all British people are snobbish.

I think any stereotype is stupid. Each individual is unique, even if he/she tries really hard to blend in with a particular herd of sheep.
