if a wool jacket with lining is too big for me, could i get it taken in?

i just want to know if tailors or seamstresses can take a wool jacket with lining in, making it a bit smaller so it fits me, since i bought a large and now its too big.

Most good Dry Cleaners have a seamstress that would have no problem altering it for you.
