I guess some people don't realize that by reporting you they strengthen your argument in a case such as this one? oh well ;) But yes, it is just reactionary rhetoric... it's what has been force fed rather than coherent thought.

I too have heard Christians that I know and love, make excuses for this president. It used to bother me that they could not see through the hypocrisy. (As a Christian, I always hope that our politicians will have a Christian heart, and will strive to help people- especially in our country where many decent working people can't afford healthcare, our children don't receive top-notch public education, and the common man cannot receive justice in our courts of law against someone with more money.) Many Christians still maintain that we are in Iraq for the sake of democracy, and to be a presence to prevent more terrorist attacks on our soil. I wish it were true. But this presidency's motivation has always been about BIG OIL. More Christians are beginning to see this, and that is why many voted the checks and balances back in place- to let this president know that we don't agree with arrogance and will not tolerate a dictatorship.

Even though your question was a lot of double talk. I cant believe that the reporter got you. FOR WHAT? You asked a question, you didnt offend anyone (well not really). You didnt use profanaty. I just dont get it.
As to you question I do believe he is a christian. Musulums use god to create war. This is as old as time

I am a Christian and I don't make excuses for Bush. He is wrong. How can you say Bush is not a Christian? You do not know what his personal beliefs are. I do think that he uses Christianity as an excuse. Maybe he knows he is wrong but is to proud or stupid to admit it.

Not all Christians do this. Those that do (the "religious right") seem to think he's a perfect being. Seems to be they forgot the first commandment.

To decide if Bush is a christian is between him and God and not democrats!!! And thinking back Slick Willy claimed to be a christian and only showed up to church when the cameras were rolling!!! But his sinful actions were defended also!!! So who are the real hypocrites!!!

That's funny, because your question is nothing but rhetorical nonsense. Look in a mirror.

What draws the votes more than "in God's name"? It doesn't have to make sense for the weak minded, just keep nodding your head they will agree.
