Even though the "ghetto" people that you describe are just a small portion of the black community, they are the most vocal complainers of not getting more than their fair share.
These people call the successful and educated "sellouts" because it is the only instance that they cannot scream racism.
The people that made something of them selves are respectable citizens and are the proof that racism is not even close to the way that the ghetto people claim. When they see someone make something better of themselves it makes the rest of the ghetto losers look bad because if someone else can get an education and make a decent living the rest of them have no excuse to not do the same.
Get of your lazy rear ends, get an education and get a job.
The boy has cried wolf far too many times and as such is not believed.

To sprctc or whatever the name is, I dont think that ''ghetto blacks'' are a small proprtion of the community. Anyway to answer your question Wise One, my friend and I were actually discussing this before and we believe it is because during slavery, the older generation of African American's had to teach their children they had to be weak in order to survive. And didnt strive to be successful or achieve anything, because they would be killed or hurt for it and really didnt have the oppertunity to anyway so we think the idea kind of stuck, being educated means being looked down on in those cases. Its up to those who are smart to know whats best for them and to actually try to help the others, and not take what they say seriously. Because in reality those certain people just dont know better, yet.

I worked with a combination of Blacks who were very successful with doctorate degrees and some Blacks who were hired from the projects and they all got along well with each other.

Stop watching CNN. Only 25% of blacks are ghetto-blacks and are self-down trotten. Why they believe as they do is beyond me. Unless a black person says this to you don't believe it.

because you are a traitor to THEIR cause, by their I am not implying all blacks just those you referred to, in the fact that you proved that the black race isn't being held back by some invisible race barrier, and that the only reason they are not being successful is their own laziness
