I don't know if I would call them "alternative"... more like "alternative pop". If you are looking for something like that, try Jason Mraz. If you are looking for something more funky- alternative (as in not usually on the top 40 stations) try Grandaddy.

well i like the used, 30 seconds to mars, mcr, snow patrol, and from first to last but those are my top favs.
