I have an xmas doooo tomorrow tight and haved been for a mani, i am wearing a black Karen Millen dress which is gorg and i have had ny nails done in black too (fashion - girls) my mum has just said i will look like a goth - please tell me she isnt right!!

ta my luvvies, as a note - nails are nicely long not sl*t short and i am not a goth, just rather liking the olds reaction to the nails
ps i wont keep em too long - i dont want to look like a WAG!!!

No it will look good... black nails are in style, it's only goth if you wear a bunch of black, chains, and look like you are going to eat someone alive.
If your black dress is feminine... it will look really nice and add a bit of a "rock N roll" feel.

Black nails do look good, as long as they are done on nails that are short and rounded tips.. long nails make it look goth.. if your mom still objects the try using a black nail polish with some glitter in it.. that's defiantly not goth.. black nails make a girl look sexy.. kinda like your a good girl but have a little bit of a naughty side to you.. just remember short, rounded nails..

The black nails are in, so you may not be the only one there with them.
However, I would never wear black nail polish, but that is just me. Some people can pull it off!
This morning, I saw a news anchor on Fox with black nails, lol

It will make you look like a goth, they have some very dark nailvarnishes out on the market which look almost black, much nicer. Try them instead. I think the black nailvarnish will ruin the dress.

Black nails could go either way....i mean they could make you look goth but who cares. I wore black nails to school once and everyone loved them

i dont think that youll look goth. are your nails short or long? i personally dont really like long nails in super dark colors? i dont think they look right, dont know thats just me. but i do think that getting a manicure and having short nails done in a black or dark color is super cute. very in!

black nails are so fashionable. i even sport the look myself but keep nails short and square shaped or it will look goth.

no! black nails are defo in this season, just make sure if u do them yourself to use a base cote or u will end up with manky coloured naturel nails.
p.s dont have them too long or they will look goth!

black nails are fab with the dress, ignore ur mum.if u feel less confindent try red nails, that might break the black combo up ,and attract your hands more ,enjoy
