The mother in a struggling family can't find the Christmas spirit. At a gas station a begger asks her for a little money. She brusquely turns him away. In desparation he goes to a nearby bank to hold it up. The lady's husband happens to be at the bank at the time of the robbery. Husband gets shot & killed. The beggar (the bank robber) escapes with the husband's car, which happens to have his & the lady's kids in it. In the chase, he crashes into the river and the kids are killed. Movie continues with resolution & message of true meaning of Christmas.
I saw it in TV many years ago but then have never heard of it since. Any ideas of the title, if it is available on video, etc?
