What is a black hole in outer space? Where do things go when they are swallowed up by them? I don't understand.

A black hole is a place where so much matter exists that gravity has caused Space to fold in on itself creating a barrier surrounding it called an event horizon. Once something has passed to the inside of the event horizon it cannot escape. Not even light can escape the gravitational pull thus it is called a black hole. Everything that enters a black hole falls to its center where massive amounts of matter (many times that of our sun) are compressed into an infinately small, infinately dense core called the singularity. It is hard to explain beyond this what go's on inside of a black hole because physics does not yet have a complete enough theory which can describe the state of affairs in this radically different environment.

A black hole is a collapsed star that has created a "vortex" in which all matter, and even light, is sucked into what some scientists, including Eintien, believe is either another part of the universe, or a different demention. Thus creating a space-time continuem. There is a star that was found by scientists that was putting out a lot of radio waves, come to find out, that star was trapped in the gravitational pull of a black hole. I hope that answers your question

no individual has ever taken an quite photo of a black hollow. because that gentle won't be able to damage out a black hollow the in common words thanks to work out one may be if a telescope or probe took pictures of the gentle of the ambience of a black hollow, which might want to provide us the silhouette of the black hollow. the images that we on the instant have are only an artists theory of what a black hollow may or might want to look like. each and each and every of the elements are disintegrated on the shape horizon surrounding a black hollow. All that power is going into the black hollow into inner-dimensional area, previous darkish matter, right into a common reservoir the position power is ultimately transduced and redistributed decrease back into area. Black holes are brought about by hypernovas and some supernovas. Exploding stars rip a hollow interior the fabric of area and gravity rushes by such openings as a route of least resistance. So, black holes are gravity vortexes or wells. A black hollow itself is the fabric of area ripped open by an exploding celeb.
