We used to celebrate Hanukah when my dad lived here because his whole family is jewish, but now he's taken the one copy of the prayer that we had, and I'd like to continue going with the tradition we've had since before I was born. Thanks!!!

My email is Sk8rgrl02631@yahoo.com if you can't post it here, or you'd just rather send it that way.

This is a good site, as it also gives you the option of listening to the prayers. http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:ZHQaSAYyfP4J:www.jewfaq.org/prayer/chanukah.htm+chanukkah+prayer+in+hebrew&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1

The first sounds of the festival are the prayers (brachot) that accompany the lighting of the candles. The first two are recited each night, the third is recited only on the first night.

The First Blessing

Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe,
Who made us holy through Your commandments
and commanded us to kindle the Hannukah lights.

The Second Blessing

Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe,
Who performed wondrous deeds for our ancestors
in those ancient days at this season.

The Third Blessing

Praised are You, Our God, Ruler of the universe, Who has given us life and sustained us and enabled us to reach this season.
